Sauk Prairie is the area and community of the Villages of Prairie du Sac and Sauk City in Sauk County, Wisconsin, together with the surrounding Townships of Prairie du Sac, Merrimac, Honey Creek, Sumpter, Freedom and Troy in Sauk County; Roxbury and Mazomanie in Dane County; and West Point and Lodi in Columbia County.  The Sauk Prairie Office of the Firm is located in the heart of the downtown business district in the Village of Prairie du Sac, overlooking the beautiful Wisconsin River. The Office is housed in a building constructed and occupied by the Firm in 2001, and is the primary location for the Firm's administrative functions.

The Firm has been located in Prairie du Sac since the 1930s, having been founded originally by Attorney Charles J. Ploetz. In the early 1960s, the Firm became Ploetz & Glynn with the addition of Attorney Gerald T. Glynn.

In the late 1970s, Attorney Carl R. Marquardt merged his Sauk City practice into the Firm, and Attorney Dale A. Carlson joined the Firm shortly thereafter. Attorneys Rick M. Koeck and Franklin R. Kirk followed in the early and mid 1980s, Attorney Jama S. Graves joined the firm in the late 1990s and Attorney Rhyan J. Lindley joined the Firm in 2005. From the early days of Charles J. Ploetz Law Office and Ploetz & Glynn, the Firm has gone through a number of name changes: Glynn & Taggart (1972); Glynn, Taggart & Pulsfus (1974); Glynn & Pulsfus (1975); Glynn & Curtin (1977); Glynn, Curtin & Marquardt (1978); Curtin Marquardt & Carlson (1980); Marquardt & Carlson (1981); Marquardt, Carlson & Koeck (1983); Marquardt, Carlson, Koeck & Kirk (1986); Marquardt Carlson, Koeck, Kirk & Bruni (1997); Carlson, Koeck, Kirk & Bruni (2000);  Carlson, Koeck, Kirk & Graves (2002); and finally, Carlson, Koeck, Kirk  Graves & Lindley (2008). Although the names and faces have changed over the past century and into the new century, the Firm has maintained a high level of quality legal services in a small town, friendly atmosphere.
